Georg Schiller is especially interested in Native American Studies, American Modernism & Pragmatism, 20th Century American Drama, and Gender Studies / Masculinity. He wrote his dissertation on the various concepts of meaning which surface in the work of Gertrude Stein. His research on Stein was published as Symbolische Erfahrung und Sprache im Werk von Gertrude Stein (Frankfurt am Main., Bern: Peter Lang, 1996).
